WHAT SHOULD I DO BEFORE A HOME CLEANING SERVICE?

To make our house cleaning service more efficient, we ask that you pick up clothing, toys and other household items prior to a visit from our housekeeping teams.

DO I HAVE TO BE HOME DURING HOUSE CLEANINGS?

Because we clean Monday – Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. most of our customers aren't home. There are three choices:

1) Client may opt to not give a key to our company and be home on their day of cleaning. The client must be home during their specific time frame to let the cleaners in/out of the home. If, upon arrival, we are unable to access your home as scheduled, there will be a $50.00 lock-out fee assessed to cover our labor and travel expenses.

2) Client may provide the company with a key. We use the industry’s top key security system, KeyTrack, to store and safeguard our customer’s keys. In the event of termination of the cleaning agreement, keys will be returned to the client within 48 hours of the final cleaning. For your protection, keys will not be linked to any information pertaining to the client.

3) If a client chooses to leave their door unlocked, place the key under the mat, or leave their house key in an unsecured place for our cleaners to gain entry, the client releases Flying Prince from any liability that arises from damage made before our cleaners enter the house or after the cleaners leave the premises. The client understands that they will be responsible for any damages that are caused before/after their scheduled cleaning.

WHAT TIME DOES YOUR CREW ARRIVE?

Flying Prince's house cleaners may arrive 30 minutes on each side of the scheduled hour; e.g. if your cleaning is scheduled for 11am, we may arrive from 10:30am to 11:30am.

CAN I TRUST YOUR CLEANING CREWS?

All our cleaning crews go through a rigorous background screening process and are trained to perform the detailed cleaning plans to our customers’ specifications. All our employees are bonded and insured. Our home cleaning services are based on quality, trustworthiness and reliability. We respect your home and personal property and you can rest assure that only the best and most reliable cleaning crews will be in charge of cleaning your home.

CAN I CUSTOMIZE MY CLEANING?

Yes, of course.  We clean your home, your way.  We create job checklists for each cleaning, and the instructions are read immediately prior to arriving at your home.  We can include any special instructions you wish on your checklist.

DO I ALWAYS GET THE SAME CREW?

If you’re a regular recurring customer (every month, every 2 weeks or every week), then we send the same team each time.  Exceptions may arise when one of your regular cleaners, for whatever reasons, can’t make it, in which case, we will send a substitute.  Also, sometimes we change team members when someone is promoted, for example.

WHAT IF SOMETHING IS DAMAGED DURING A HOME CLEANING?

Flying Prince realizes the nature of cleaning requires our staff to touch virtually all items within one's home or office. Our cleaning crews are trained to be detail-oriented and careful when cleaning a customer’s home. However, accidents happen and if any damage or loss does occur, simply notify us within 48 hours of the cleaning date. Please refer to our breakage and loss policy for additional information. To fully protect you against property loss, Flying Prince carries liability insurance.

WHAT IF YOUR CREW MISSED A SPOT?

We offer consistent, quality home cleaning. Like all new relationships, however, miscommunications might occur and we may make a mistake. That's why we offer a house cleaning service guarantee, which means if you notify us within 24 hours, our house cleaning staff will correct their mistake at no charge.

DO I PROVIDE CLEANING SUPPLIES OR EQUIPMENT?

No. Every Flying Prince cleaning service crew comes prepared with all the cleaning supplies necessary. However, because we are flexible, if requested and provided, we are happy to clean with your preferred products.

HOW DO I PAY FOR RESIDENTIAL CLEANING SERVICES?

Payment is due at time of service. It is our policy to obtain credit card authorization for the initial cleaning and we do keep that information secured in our encrypted computer system. Should you ever forget to leave payment, the card would be charged at the end of day. We accept cash, checks and most credit cards. A $35.00 fee is applied to all returned checks. If you use a credit card, your account will be charged the balance due, plus any fees, after each cleaning.

WHAT IS THE COST OF MY CLEANING?

Flying Prince works with every home owner to create a custom cleaning plan designed on frequency, preferences and your budget. Specialty add-on services such as refrigerator and oven cleaning are also available options for your consideration. Our prices are based on the size and condition of your home. When you receive the initial estimate, it is just that — an estimate. Once our crew enters your home for the first time, they should have a better sense of exactly how long the cleaning should take. As soon as they become aware of a discrepancy between the estimate and actual time needed, they immediately contact Flying Prince management who will try to contact you to discuss the difference. Very often, first-time cleans or one-time cleanings may require additional time and an additional fee. If this is the case, you will be contacted by management prior to authorizing our house cleaners to spend more time in the home.

SHOULD I TIP THE HOUSE CLEANERS?

If you are pleased with the work done in your home we encourage you to show your appreciation to your house cleaners. Although not required, a gratuity is a powerful way to say "I appreciate your work." Even a note from you, simply saying "thanks for a job well done" means a great deal.

HOW MANY PEOPLE WILL CLEAN MY HOME?

Our teams vary from job to job. Generally, house cleaners work in teams of one or two. Sometimes we have teams of three or more. When more than one person is at the job, the quoted time — which is  given in labor hours — is lessened by the number of people. For example, if you were scheduled for a two-hour service and two house cleaners are assigned to your job, the cleaning should be completed in one hour or two labor-hours.

WILL I ALWAYS HAVE THE SAME CREW?

We make every effort to send the same crew each time. Occasionally there may be a change in the team due to illness, day off, vacation or they may no longer work for Flying Prince. Therefore, it is not possible for us to guarantee the same individual/team for each cleaning. In the event of such an occurrence, we will find a replacement. Flying Prince provides an extensive training program to each of our employees to ensure consistent cleaning techniques throughout our staff.

AM I LIABLE FOR WORKER'S COMPENSATION, INSURANCE OR EMPLOYMENT TAXES?

With Flying Prince, our customers have no worries.  All of our house cleaners are our employees and covered under our Workers Compensation Insurance. Flying Prince insulates our customers from risk.

IS FLYING PRINCE INSURED AND BONDED?

Of course we are fully insured and bonded and background checks are run against each person in each of our teams. This is one of the major benefits associated with using our business over an individual who may claim to take these precautions but does not.  That includes worker’s compensation insurance, the most commonly overlooked fact for our industry.  If one of our employees is hurt while cleaning your home, they are covered under our worker’s compensation insurance, not your home owner’s insurance.

HOW DO YOU COMPENSATE EMPLOYEES?

We pay our employees by the hour, not based on a percentage, and this is very important, because when companies pay a percentage, then the cleaners are incentivized to rush through your home and skip cleaning tasks.

WILL PETS BE A PROBLEM WITH YOUR CLEANING CREWS?

No, we love animals. The only thing we ask is for you to keep your pets away from the cleaning areas while we service your home. Pets are happiest and less stressed at home, surrounded by their familiar environment, following a customary routine. Our crews and our HEPA filtered back pack vacuums may disrupt your pets’ routine. We love pets, but truth is some pets don’t love us. If your pet is predisposed to showing aggression when visitors are in your home please let us know when you are booking our service.

WHAT HAPPENS IF I NEED TO RESCHEDULE MY CLEANING SERVICE?

Flying Prince works with you. Simply call us at least 24 hours before your regularly scheduled home cleaning with a more convenient cleaning time. We will do our best to accommodate your scheduling needs.

WHAT IF MY HOME CLEANING FALLS ON A HOLIDAY?

If your scheduled cleaning falls on a holiday Flying Prince observes, we will be sure to contact you to reschedule your cleaning.

SPECIAL PRODUCT REQUESTS

If you have a preference for a specific product which we do not carry, then we are happy to use that product in place of our own, but we ask that you supply it.

WHAT IS THE CANCELLATION POLICY?

If it is necessary to cancel/skip your regular cleaning day, Flying Prince requires a 24 hours notice. We understand that sometimes an emergency can occur at the last minute. If that is the case, we ask that you please contact us by phone as soon as possible so we can inform the cleaning crews. Future scheduled cleanings will remain unchanged. Please be sure to call us about any termination of regularly scheduled cleanings. Do not inform the house cleaners of any changes to your schedule — it must be done directly with our management. Note that recurring service is priced at a discounted rate. Should you choose to cancel recurring service after only one cleaning, please note that our regular One Time Cleaning price applies.

CAN I HIRE YOUR HOUSE CLEANERS DIRECTLY?

By entering into a service agreement with Flying Prince, you agree not to hire a present or past Flying Prince staff member introduced to you by Flying Prince for any home-related service. If you do wish to employ such a staff member, our referral fee is $2,500.

WHAT IF I HAVE A SPECIAL REQUEST I NEED TO COMMUNICATE TO THE CLEANING CREWS?

If you have an unplanned, last minute request for your home cleaning, you can call us or simply leave a note for the cleaning crews if you are not at home. We will do everything possible to accommodate your request.

ARE YOUR CLEANING SERVICES AVAILABLE ON THE WEEKEND?

Our home cleaning services are available Monday through Friday, from 8:00AM to 5:00PM. We are closed on Saturday and Sunday. However, we do make exceptions for our regular customers in case they have a special request for a house cleaning (i.e. party, holiday, wedding, new born, special celebration, etc…)

DO YOU HAVE A GUARANTEE FOR YOUR HOUSE CLEANING SERVICES?

We want all our customers to be completely satisfied with our house cleaning services. If you are available at the end of a scheduled cleaning, we will do a walkthrough with you to make sure that everything was done to your liking. Once we are gone, if you notice that we missed something, we will either come back to clean it or wait until our next schedule cleaning at your home to clean it – whatever your preference is.
